Word on campus is that wired lines are 1Gb/s lines, only in the newer buildings, so I need to go try that. For science of course.

reminds me of my college days when my friend and I would get so stoked about 1.5mbps. We would download all the drivers, music, movies and games and put them onto 100MB zip drives (which all the computers had for some reason)...man its been a while since I started college.

Man, U d'O needs to up their game. I frequently got under 3 Mb/s in residence last year. Then again, my friend upstairs did download 24 terrabytes of information over the year, which may have had something to do with it.

I'm perfectly happy with my house's new Surfboard xtreme modem - 2 MB torrent speeds!

that noise cost me a job and $100 bonus as a high school student. Did a ton of work, backed it up on a zip drive...crashed (i didn't know it crashed) and my boss thought I not only didn't complete my assignment (a $100 bonus) but that I hadn't been doing ANY work, so he let me go. Found out later that it was the zip disk that did me in. Oh well, wasn't a great job anyway.

McMaster has some mean 300mb/s internet, last time I ran a test.
Wish I had some SR20.

Absolutely. It's the first link on the "Tools" page.
